Cancellation & Refund Policy

Student Cancellation

• More than 24 hours before class: Full refund, free cancellation
• Less than 24 hours before class: Cancellation blocked, no refund

Tutor Cancellation

• Can cancel anytime → student receives automatic full refund
• Tutor receives a reliability strike (tracked internally)

Tutor No-Show

• Student raises dispute
• Admin verifies (using LiveKit room join data)
• 100% refund

Class Delivered (10+ minutes elapsed)

• Class is considered "delivered"
• No refund via dispute
• Only tutor can voluntarily issue a refund

Tutor Voluntary Refund

• Tutor can issue full/partial refund for any completed booking
• This is a goodwill gesture, not an obligation

Note on commission: When a refund is issued, Tutora's commission is refunded together with the lesson price.
